Sensory Supports to Build Regulation Skills

Mar 5, 2019 - 9:00am to 12:00pm

Many young children struggle with self-regulation skills. Building these skills is a primary focus of early learning environments. Often, however, teachers rely on verbal correction to promote regulation skills. Recent developments in neuroscience indicate that incorporating sensory supports into our classroom routines may produce better outcomes in self-regulation skills. In this workshop, we will explore a range of sensory supports that can be used with a variety of ages.
