The Behavioral Health Training and Education Network (BHTEN) and Multiplying Connections have teamed up with the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Welfare and Social Research (GSSWSR) Center for Professional Development in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to offer a new trauma certificate program: Facets of Trauma Informed Practice. The Certificate Program comprises six courses designed to offer professionals a foundational understanding of trauma theory and principles, tools and strategies that enable trauma-informed practice in service and treatment settings. The impact of trauma on direct service staff and the necessity for a support system for those individuals will also be addressed. The complete Certificate program begins on October 26, 2012 and includes:
- Toward Trauma-Informed Practice: Support for Recovery
- Vicarious Traumatization: Addressing the Impact of Trauma on Staff
- Neurophysiology, Psychopharmacology and Trauma (PTSD)
- Becoming Trauma Informed: Part I
- Becoming Trauma Informed: Part II
- Reflective Supervision
